Adding Photos to the Gallery

Post by Allan Richards »

Gill,

I had a go at uploading some photos to my gallery at I must say its very impressive. Very quick and this eases your workload. I'm not sure if the main gallery is working at present as it just comes up as a blank page at the moment meaning I can't see other people photos, I guess this is work in progress. Excellent improvements though

Hi Nigel,

I've had look around the new site and can't find where to upload my photo's. I am being a bit thick or is there a secret door :?: The gallery page is blank for me too where as earlier there was some sherman photo's on there.
Nice feel to the new site, couple of things need sorting out but hey early days.

Thanks Antony

It seems the new gallery is temporarily unavailable while Mark and Gill work out the bugs.

Now that the Gallery is working and as soon as my Gallery id is activated I will try uploading some images.

Ad,

When you log in to the Gallery you will get a page that says empty and has a two word link that says "add photo" - this is your album.
Just click on "add photo" and you will get a page that tells you how to upload pictures.

Now that my Gallery account is active I will try uploading some pic's tonight.

Mike,

Thank you for your explanation. I can login the gallery and can open my account, but no "empty" or "add photo".
On the other hand I haven't received an e-mail confirming my registration or the activation of my account either. Strange

Mike,
There appears to be alot of problems loading to the New Gallery, I have had divers challenges, as you can see from my thumbnail opening snap, but I am sure it will get easier as we get better at it. Just keep smashing the rocks together and eventually all will be made good.

Mike,
I have noticed that the New Gallery does not like large pixel counts even if it is below the stated file size allowance. May I suggest that you try entering one small sized file with a small pixel count, this should get you started. Some of my bigger pixel snaps will not download to the New Gallery and I have had to put the snaps onto Photobucket first and then resize downwards before loading onto the New Gallery.

Patrick,

I will give that a shot thanks
Hopefully Mark and Gill can eventually fix this issue so we don't have to worry about resizing our pic's before uploading

I registered for the Gallery a few days back but i still cannot get the "Add Photo page". When i log on the bottom right corner of each page it says "Guest". How long does it normally take for the account to be activated ?
Regards
Steve

Steve,

I had the same problem. I sent a message to Mark Mitchell and he found and fixed the error. Maybe you should give it a try.
