Hi Guys
Took a trip this weekend and stopped by to visit with Lucien Runge to test fit a set of the Feifil Unit production parts on his Armortek Tiger 1. It took around 4 hours, including taking the pictures . It surprised both of us how easy it was and that all parts fitted together almost perfect. We used scale drawings to firstly place the center round cover and the front intake housing, these have to be in the correct position. My concern was once we placed the air filters at the back the hoses might not line up. Well we fitted the filters in line with the outside edge of the Tiger, which is the correct position and the hoses lined up as they should. All we had to do was shorten the longer hoses by 1/8". You can see the results below. I am very pleased with the results as I am sure all those that have ordered them will be. Lucien's comment when we put the hoses in place was "You Lucky @%&?*!". Note not all fitting bolts are in place.

Now I have to write the assembly instructions, trying for the end of the month. As I have the correct hose lengths I can finalize the production molds for them and get casting. Hoses will be cast longer than needed to allow for minor adjustments.

Feifil Unit Production Parts Fitted to Armortek Tiger 1

I spent the afternoon doing the final fitting and attachment of the feifel air cleaners to the back end of my Tiger I. I fastened the hose clamps in place on the front intake cowls with 0-80 machine screws. None of the metal parts had to be file, sanded or changed (just like the the first fitting). Both feifels have been acid etched primed and red oxide primed to match the rest of the vehicle and look great. The entire final assembly is extremely solid.
I did however, shortened the hoses by 1/16" to allow a slight bit of slack at the back so I can unhook the front hose clamps and slide the hoses backwards off of the front intake cowls. This way the hoses can be easily pulled straight up and pulled forward from the back feifel tubing releasing them entirely from the engine deck. This allows me to enter the engine hatch withut loosening up the feifels from their mounts. Afterwards, I just reverse the steps and solidly clamp the hoses back in place.
As you Brits (at least the guy on "Tank Overhaul") would say, "Easy breezy, lemon squeezy".

Update on parts
Update
All metal cast parts are completed, just have 5 more sets of the resin hoses to cast. Writing the instructions is going to take a few days, I estimate about 10 pages, first 3 page are done. Here are some pictures of the parts.
