Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what size 1/6th rail is and where to buy it from in the UK, I know Peter Shaw has some but I don't have a contact for him.
A rail crossing or a railway bridge Best of luck locating the rails.
Thanks Ant

Hi Paul.
So Clive is really up for building the steam engine then look really good bringing essential equipment for your new 11 foot Whoosher
Cheers Paul
As i was saying at dinner, my Stephenson Rocket was live steam, this ran on 3 1/2" track. The steel ones were around £30-£50 for a length, and the points were around £110. So at this price, you won't want to blow these up.
Paul.
This may be a silly question but is the idea just to have a stretch of railway line? or try to run something on it? if we only want it to look like a railway line what about rectangular steel section? and some sleepers cut up at the sawmill? and maybe Clive could make the little clamps to hold the rail down...just a thought probs a lot cheaper and would "look" O.K. for a photo shoot.
Cheers Paul
I am now sorted thanks for the help, Peter uses live steam railway modeller's 5" and 71/4" G ally track which you can purchase from A J Reeves, model engineer's suppliers. Their website is http://www.AJReeves.com
It looks to scale when you see figures next to it so it will do me, and I just want it for Dio photos. picture form Tim Catton's web site!
although after talking to Paul Morris, we might make something more of it now!
Dear friends,
you live in England that is the homeland of the live steaming: the scale which comes closest to 1/6 is the gauge 7 1/4 ". On the web you will find so many sites that offer rails, sleepers and other.
