Looking for Tiger tank

Post by Mark Sundt »

Hello: My name is Mark Sundt, and I may have what you are looking for. Long story short, I have 3 armortek models, one of which is the Tiger, and it is in the original shipping boxes. I did open the boxes to inspect the turret. Nothing has been assembled. Reason for selling-- son off to University 2 years early in Honors program. I had been in contact with another armor tek forum member, but he has not followed up--so it is available.
Best Regards, Mark

Edward I read your question about the turret then wondered if you may be confusing the King Tiger with the Tiger I? The KT's were made with either Porsche or Henschel turrets.

Tiger I's were manufactured by Henschel und Sohn in Kassel. The Tiger I's varied with some changes over the years most obviously known as 'Early', 'Mid', or 'Late' production models - all made by Henschel.

Cheers,

Happy to help, best of luck. These Armortek kits are really rewarding to build. On mine I give Lee Sellars gets 95% of the credit on redoing it.

My Tiger has been moving towards the finish line since March 2006 when I bought the basic finished Tiger, Lee tore it all down and started it over. Doing the homework (I amassed 4.1 GB of files about the Tiger!), and finding the accessories and detailing tidbits have been half the fun and worth the effort to get them right. I can not envision the day when my '311' will be finished since there will always be this or that (however subtle) to add, or some existing component to upgrade.

Fortunately I had no children depending on me for their College expenses.
