The Comet served in North West Europe at the end of the war. In this book, Patrick Delaforce describes the considerable and uninterrupted combat record of Third Royal Tank Regiment from France 1940, to the Desert Campaign and then in Europe from Normandy to the Baltic. The last chapters deal with the Comet's false start, which was pre-empted by the German Ardennes offensive, and subsequent use in the final push to the Balitc in which five major rivers were crossed in two months. There are good descriptions of actions against Tigers.
Peter Elstob served with Third Tanks and wrote one of the best novels about tank warfare "Warriors for the Working Day". Although it's a novel, it describes real events in some detail and has a good account of the Comet in action. It was published in 1960 but has been re-printed in paperback a number of times and should still be available.
There are two 1/35th models, one by a Chinese company Bronco. All the usual after-market upgrades are available. I looked at Hannants but they are showing out of stock. The other model is older and is by Accurate Armour. Of the two, the latter looks to be more accurate. Here are some examples:
