Hello everyone!
This is my first posting here ...I have been a visitor on the outside for a while..but I've taken the plunge !!
Although not strictly an owner yet ,I soon will be...............so be prepared because I will be asking questions !!
Let me tell you.......I have been interested in tanks since I was a kid back in the 70's when I saved up and brought some corgi toy tanks ( nice little metal ones)......I put them in the cupboard and forgot about them until a year or so ago when I found them and gave them to my young son.
This rekindled my interest and I bought a Tamiya KT 1/16 ,having spent many hours building this and cruising the internet for upgrade parts etc ....I stumbled across the Armortek site and read the forum.
"Open Day" I read ....OMG they just happen to be across the road from where I work too !!!
So I went to the open day and saw many of your splendid models & now I'm joining your ranks!!
Excellent !!!....Big metal tank ...lots of fun !!
Imagine my sons face when he sees it !!
Cheers
Si

Hi Simon,
Welcome to the club, and you got a late Tiger. You will have to start to think about which theatre and unit you are going to base it on, i.e. Normandy, Germany, Russia, and SS, Wehrmacht, or maybe you could find out if the Herman Goring division, which was Luftwaffe had late tigers. Not sure if they did, but I am sure Kent will tell me if I am wrong, .
Just ask if you need help, there is always some one with the info you want, and of course Lee will help you out with all your detailing parts and figures, and all the others on the craftsman’s market!!
Paul .

New kid on the block
Hello everyone
First posting for me, so here goes..... I very recently gratefully received my Tiger 1 kit from Armortek...... very impressed with the service from Gill, and the kit itself! It's awesome!!
Just thought I'd introduce myself to the forum and 1/6 scale Armortek tank builders. After looking through the parts and instructions, I know there will be lots of queries to be resolved. Having been building various models for many years, I have to say, this kit is in a class of its own!
Looking foward to starting to construct the tank.
Many thanks.
Dave

Hello to Simon Lambert and Dave Harbour.
Nice to here of more people down south building Armortek's,not anything to do with Mark and Gill moving down south is it? Any way good news for us.When you have built your kit you will need to test it out, a group of owners are members of a small friendly club with a site in south devon.
Why not come down and have a look,we have regulars from Bournmouth and Somerset as well as devon.More details on www.devonrctanks.pwp
Hope to see you soon
