There is often talk in the media at this time of year about how many young people have little or no awareness of the meaning and significance of remembrance day. I am sure most of us (although not all) on this forum are too young to remember either WW1 or WW2 however I know that some of you have been involved in other more recent conflicts.
Mark and I consider today to be very important. We would like to think that maybe when the models that you have built are seen by others it maybe contributes, in some way, to keeping the history alive and creating awareness in the younger generation of the significance and importance of remembering.
It would be interesting to hear your views and experiences.
Gill and Mark

Hello Chaps
With this years remembrance Sunday Sean came into my workshop as i was listening to it on the radio. He has never taken much interest in it up till now.Although he has been aware of it.He was asking loads of questions and listened to the service as well.I think that with building the Models and especially in this scale it for me and Sean it keeps the memory of those how fell for us and for those how are still falling to this day.
Let us remember them

Mark and Gill,
I share your feelings regarding the importance of this day, as I'm sure many on this forum do. I was watching the Veteran's Day ceremony this morning when my four year old son, Jack, came in and asked what it was. It gave me the opporunity to explain, in simple terms, who the special day was honoring and why. I think he got more info then he wanted to know at that particular moment.
Thank you to all vetrerans past and present.
Never forget those who have served and those that are serving.
Tim
