Haven't been here for a long time, sort of lost my access when they switched over to the new forum but Gill has kindly sorted me out...thanks Gill!

Just to add to the calls for a Comet or Cromwell...although I'm half-way through buidling my own Cromwell out of sheet styrene at the moment. As always it's the running gear that's giving me most trouble at the moment, (I may have to try to talk Gill and Mark into making the running gear for me). If anyone's interested I've already done all the research and can give you measurements etc. In fact I'm documenting this build as I go and I hope to put up some web pages that will show how to build a Cromwell. The idea is that these instructions will be so basic that a 11 year old can follow them, (my own 11 year old will be proofing them after the summer), with templates in PDF format to allow for quick marking out of the complex angles. Anyway here's a few older pics of my styrene Cromwell.....the castings on the Turret are just sitting there and are not all in the proper location but you get the idea.

Turrets

Post by ChrisWilliams »

Looking good Pete,

I was going to have a go myself at one stage and got as far as making three of turrets in glassfibre, being a boat builder at the time I have had years of experience of working with the material so its all good quality. They are up for sale if anybody is interested.
