Hi Dan,
Yes they are used elswhere on the tank, but they are different sizes, I am trying this size first to see what they are like after I drill and tap them before I look at the other sizes.

Steve - I'd like to order a full set once we've sorted out the sizes. If you look at my post "Bovington PzKpfw III Ausf L" over on the Pz III section, I listed all 89 cone head bolts on the vehicle. (There are also four hex cone head bolts on the manlet). I've probably got photos of most of the bolts and can check sizes when I get back to England in a couple of weeks. From memory though, I think all 89 are the same size - it's only the ones on the manlet which differ. Anyway, could you pse reserve 90 off for me and we'll confirm once we can check the sizes? Best regards. Stephen.

Dale - pm sent.

I have emailed Steve on these, requesting 100 (I thought it would be best to have some extra with my tendency to drop small parts  )

And, I have to sort of go with Stephen on the sizing. From my book research and my views of the P3s at Aberdeen and Ft Knox a while ago, they seem to be sized the same. But, oxidation and many coats of paint can be elusive....

What I did note on some is that they had appeared to have been "ground" down at some point - not sure why or when or whom??? Stephen's lucky to have access to the Bovington collection - maybe someday I will get that opportunity. :(

Anyway Steve, I am hoping such a request is not overwhelming for you.
Thanks,

Jim

Hi All,
I have just received the sample batch of cones, these I will have to drill and tap so the price will be 50p each. Steve, Dale and Jim if you are still interested let me know how many you want (if you need a close up let me know) as I only ordered a small amount initially. I am also in the process of finishing a rear Armortek bin for Panzer IIII, this will be complete with rivets and wooden insulation, and will also be offering the Lid on its own to anyone interested, the Lid is made of steel and will come with hinges catches and reinforcing struts.
