Have you tried epoxy glue. I broke one as well and used epoxy JB weld.

I know it's some sort of hinge but what's it for? what is the original made of?

Thanks for the help. It’s about 1 inch long, 15/32th of an inch wide, and 1/16th of an inch thick.
