Leopard 2 towing cable thimbles

Post by Chang »

Hi all Leo 2 builders. I have just found the 1:6 Leo 2 towing cable thimbles in one particular German site ;

https://www.stehr-modellbau.de/parts-16 ... 947-p-1490
(thanks for Adrian Harris quoted this site in thread "M3 castle nuts" on 06 Mar 2025 . viewtopic.php?p=104596#p104596)

They sell their products world-wide, unfortunately Australia (maybe UK too) wasn't included yet. So I have just sent an e-mail to query this.

If any Leo 2 builder is interested in this part , you may contact them.

Regards,
Lerh Chang

Haven't heard a word from Stehr-modellbau. I was wondering if any Leo 2 builder in their Country List is going to buy this set , could you please buy one extra set for me. I will happily reimburse you for the extra costs, plus the mailing cost for sending it to Australia.

If possible , please PM me for further discussion. Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Lerh Chang

Hi Andre, Thanks for your advice. Currently I have received reply from AlastairCooke & Patrick's help. But I will be more than happy to get your help too , cause this is a very hard to get part from Australia, and I wouldn't mind to receive more.

Thanks again and with best regards,

Unless I am mistaken, Stehr’s shipping list includes options for “rest of Europe” which presumably includes UK, and “all other countries” which should include Australia?

Good luck.

Hi Kevin,
I had tried ordered it on their website. The Country List is NOT include Australia. As for UK , I maybe wrong , but I don't want to try again.
You are right about "rest of Europe" & "all other countries" on their order form. Only when you click on it , there is NO Australia.

With regards,

With Alastair Cooke's warm help. I received this good aftermarket part today. Thanks again Alastair.

Of course it's not cheap. But sometimes a man has to do something like this.

Cheers to all.
