Redesign work on the bogies is now 99% complete.
Pretty much every part you can see in the image below has been modified and more detail has been added.
These bogies alone contain 4 gears that are used for lifting and lowering the main gun cruciform.
And, similar to the real mechanism, we have made the extension shaft extendable so that the handle bar clears the fenders during operation.
Production on some of the bogie parts has already started.

Re: 2024 88MM FLAK 36 ARMORTEK KIT
Are the chain hoist pulleys, if that is the correct name for them, still to be made of zinc alloy?
On the 88 I rebuilt I made my chain hoists (yes it's a stretch!) functional. Took some doing and changes and the chain
I used proved to be a source of concern- the links need to be brazed or welded to stay closed but my last concern
was those pulleys.
I realize I'm the odd nut that will do stuff like this and cranking one end of that massive contraption wasn't easy however
it was fun to make it work. I wouldn't expect steel pulleys but perhaps brass or aluminium?

Re: 2024 88MM FLAK 36 ARMORTEK KIT
Production of the 88 is around 90% complete. The remaining parts to make are the central pillar, the barrel rear, and a bunch of steel parts that need bending.
Casting of the cruciform and fenders is in full swing, so we expect to get the parts in a month or so.
In the meantime, we thought it might be interesting for you to see the difference between the current 2025 Flak 88mm and a previous version that we made. As you will see, we've invested a great deal of time in adding additional details to what was already an iconic kit with some great engineering.

Re: 2024 88MM FLAK 36 ARMORTEK KIT
Hi folks.
I like the idea of this model, certainly temped.
But is there a reliable source for some ammo to go
with it?
Just asking.
Take care all,
Charles

Re: 2024 88MM FLAK 36 ARMORTEK KIT
We will be making a very limited run of 88mm shells and projectiles.
The shell and projectile will be separate pieces. The shell will be solid brass and the projectile solid steel, so there will be a nice bit of weight to them.
They will be sold as a pair for £70 plus vat and shipping.

Some pictures of the assembled kit.
Most of the photographs show the new 2025 release, but some also show the previous generation model.

I could use that rifled muzzle insert for my 88, will that be available separately?

We do have some stock - but you would need to counterbore the barrel end.
