I have put my tank up for sale and I'm in the process of getting it up and running. Because it hasn't been used for about 3 years when a tried to get it going it just doesn't seem to work.
I'm sure the main batteries are okay and charged because the lights and figures all work so I'm sure the tank is okay as it was running nicely last time.
The Hitec Aurora 9 transmitter was completely dead so I've managed to source a replacement battery.
I tried to get it going this morning and it just doesn't respond to the radio control unit.
As far as the tank is concerned when I press the main start button it bleeps and the main gun recoils so I think that I okay because I have the green light on.
So I wonder if the transmitter battery has been dead for a long time could it be something I haven't done to get the transmitter to communicate with the tank, all seems to be okay the red light on the front is on and the little Spectra unit on the back is showing a red light.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Re-commisioning problem
Hello David, The first thing to ensure is that the Transmitter and receiver are binding. I always go back to basics and plug servos into the receiver to make sure the receiver is functioning correctly. If you only have one servo check each channel in turn. I am not familiar with your transmitter but I expect the manuals are available online if you have lost yours. Once you know the receiver is communicating you can then concentrate on getting the tank moving with just two channels. Build up your confidence as you go. I don't know if you are a SAG member but if you are we have a few shows later in the year where you can get more advice. I am in Swindon and retired if you are up this way anytime. Best of luck.

Re: Re-commisioning problem
Hi Will thanks for your helpful reply, I switched the transmitter on and left it on, when I went down to my workshop 'hey presto' it worked. I think that perhaps the small transmitter pack on the rear had completely discharged, anyway it works perfectly now.
Kind regards,
David Wiltshire.
