Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.

So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.

We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.

Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

Tom's Leopard

Post by Tom Miller »

Hello Everyone,
Just finished the build of my Leopard. This is my 7th Armortek kit. This one has all the option paks including the optional 2nd smoke unit. I also made the convoy light at the rear operational, added antennas and the turn indicators function front and rear. It is painted NATO green but by the time I finished weathering the tank it looks much darker green.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for sharing these photos to us.

Have you installed the Recoil Pack? If yes, is there such photo also available?

I really like to see the locking detail of the Gun barrel adaptor (XRE028-Leo) with the Gun barrel -rear (CV0473) as showing in the Diagram 5. Recoil Assembly of the Recoil Pack.

With best regards,

Lerh Chang

Hi Chang,
I do not have pictures of that part. The adapter screws up tight to the gun barrel. Hope this helps.

Hi Tom , you mean the kit two parts simply just fully screwed up without any difficulty? No machinery is required?

Maybe AT already adjusted the adapter piece. The thread pitch is definitely not the same in the first kits and thus cannot be mounted without change.

Hi Chang,
As I recall I used a small triangular file to increase the depth of the threads on the adapter piece. I don't think it would be a problem if the adapter sticks out a little bit as long as it screws in tight. It just means the barrel would extend out a little more.
By the way for all of you that are fitting the recoil option pak. The new recoil motor makes a lot of noise. Especially when it returns to the extended position. Armortek tells me this is normal. I had to crank up the volume of the sound module to try to cover it up with the canon sound.
