Hi Clive
I don’t know what was there but if you’re looking for the serial number it’s on the lower right hull side on mine.
Regards
Steve

Hi Clive
I believe there may have been 50 made, it would be interesting to see who has the highest serial number.
Regards

Re: Advice please 🙏
As I see it someone filed the lip back a bit and filled in the holes. Sadly you missed all the fun putting the deck panels together.
Some say a limited edition is limited to the people who want them. not sure that Armortek would do that, it would be pretty obvious after a while if they did. Especially with the single Batch models like the M26, Hertzer and the M3 Grant etc.
Amortek will have ordered more parts, castings etc than the fifty kits initially produced for the first batch.
5% to 10% extra would not be an extreme amount to cover any faulty delivered or lost parts.
The 50 kits were, we were told sold out in just over three weeks so there was very little time to think about pulling the trigger.
I thought i saw somewhere someone quoted they'd got fifty something, but it might have been a typo. Though some Chieftain models were built to order so some customers may not have bothered to check their certificate number, especially the statics.
So I'm guessing 55+ units, maybe.
This is No 32 over and out.

Re: Advice please 🙏
1 off the many things I am learning is Is how to use a forum? I'm also dyslexic. We make good engineers, but not secretaries.
I have now been informed the paint is Canadian training group I need to research this more.
The previous owner must have had several changes as the floor pan had 30 redundant poles in it they have now been dealt with. As the tank was upside down, it seemed a good opportunity to remove all the axles. To remove surface rust. Very little if any have been lubricated. The nylock nuts were all too long, so they were all reduced a few millimetres. Before replacement , also , i've blocked any redundant holes with bolts or grub dog screws.
I have started to look at The Turret is and I was very fortunately pre-warned thanks John There is a great deal to do. And my chosen repair is going to be adding material on rather than filler or removing. I will be reading previous contributions for a few days yet. Thank you.

Re: Advice please 🙏
The parts were supplied by Steve Winston.
Or check with David Brady if he knows if they are still available.
