Jagdpanther - shipping starts today 11th Sept

Thanks to some hard work on the packing side we are ready to start shipping 2 days earlier then planned.
As always we will start with just a couple of kits to gets the UPS driver used to the boxes

I was hoping albeit silently to join the cadre of happy JagdPanther owners however UPS had something else in mind. After 3 delayed promised deliveries box number one showed up today, at a time not called out in their tracking data; unceremoniously left on my doorstep without the required signature. plus two of the large plates had broken through the box and clearly one is damaged.

The other 3 boxes? I called UPS 'customer support' and they don't know where the other three boxes are.... so much for tracking. I took care of customs
charges early in the week so I know that's not it.

This is the first time I'm a bit unhappy. UPS did not make my day. I will be filing a claim/gripe with UPS for this if for no other reason
than I'm a grumpy old guy with time on my hands but I'll wait to see what happens with/to the other 3 packages...

After all these years I still have a short fuse but mostly these days it sputters and fizzles and then my anger goes along with it. Very few things are worth getting ill over.

Unless it's a catastrophic damage I can usually fix it; it appears corners are blunted a bit; I'm still waiting until the other 3 packages arrive before I open this one.

Nothing here so far that one good ice cream won't fix.

Perhaps in this case a bundle of White Castle originals AND an ice cream...

UPS earlier this evening informs me that the 3 AWOL packages are scheduled to be delivered Monday between the hours of sometime and maybe.

I want to thank Monique for her considerate response to my fever fueled rant. when you have a pile of things to do that won't wait till you feel
better the last thing you want is an additional, unnecessary thing to add on the pile.

I raised my voice to the UPS person for a second day in a row; re-explaining (mansplaining?) how this is the age of 'puters, scanners, sensors,
and AI predictive modeling that shouldn't allow for as much as a pin to go missing...

I could just imagine this poor person, far removed from the nuts and bolts of moving boxes, thinking , "Why Me?"

Well you know bad luck- it just flies around and has to land on someone, tag, she was it....

had almost the same thing with DHL here... but a lot of patience helped me from bursting out to the help desk.
did email frantikly with the seller of the model for all the info he had.

anyways it took them a weekend longer then was promised but i got all the boxes in the end.

now back to the JP.
the wife told me i could only have 1 model and have to finish that before i get a second one so ... no JP for me ... this time

Well the remainder of my JagdPanther boxes arrived today. I found our regular driver had been out last week; the regular chap
is decidedly more careful in his handling of the goods. These three boxes were near perfect.

Hi Guys
So mine has arrived 3/4 of it yesterday box 1 went AWL but the ups driver went above and beyond and I received box 1 at 9am this morning 2 hours before his normal time for this area .
He changed his route as I had told him I was going to be out today after 10 am.
