I was in hardware shop today. I found this mahogany as a possible timber for bridge. 9mm rather than 8mm thickness but I will check thickness next time. Would need to reduce to 37.5 width or maybe get away with 45mm. Comes in 2.4m lengths so need 18 so cost €177.
