I received this today, on behalf of the UKTC.
Military Display Weekend 27th – 28th June 2009
at The Muckleburgh Collection, Weybourne, Norfolk
Dear Robert
The Muckleburgh Collection is holding a Military Display Weekend on the 27th and 28th June 2009. This will include vehicle parades, arena activities, displays and stalls to interest all ages and provide an enjoyable family weekend for everyone on holiday in North Norfolk. For further details on the museum see www.muckleburgh.co.uk
Re-enactments and tank demonstrations will feature alongside displays by Regular and Territorial Service Units. As this month sees the 65th Anniversary Commemoration of the D-Day Landings in Normandy on 6th June the open setting of Muckleburgh with its dramatic sea views, its airfield and world war bunkers lends atmosphere to the memory of Operation Overlord.
The Muckleburgh Collection is located on the A149 coast road between Cromer and Wells and is ¾ hour from Norwich or Kings Lynn. For a map we suggest using www.multimap.com with the postcode NR25 7EG
We hope this might become a regular annual event at Muckleburgh so your support this year would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Simon Butcher
The UKTC has attended the Muckleburgh Collection for the last 3 years, and it has always been a cracking weekends fun.

I was just wondering why, when there are so few military vehicle collections in England, two of the biggest should pick the same weekend for their big summer event...
I realise they're in different parts of the country, in fact they'd have a hard job being further apart
but I for one would certainly be interested to go to both.
But not one on one day and the other the next, especially as Bovington seems to run different vehicles on each day.
Adrian.

Ah now I see were your coming from. I've no idea mate, I'm sure Sir Michael had no other motive than to have a do.
The beauty of Muckleburgh is when the visitors go home, we can pretty much do as we please (obviously the HS rule is you hurt yourself tough) especially in the renovation yard.
