sound module

I have connected my sound pack into my system to bench test the audio. I have programed a 3 position switch on my Taranis transmitter and followed the programing instructions. Everything beeps as stated in the instructions, but when trying to move the physical control on the transmitter, it does not activate the sound system. I have checked all of the connections, the physical switch on the transmitter is going to channel 5 as per the wiring instructions. Can someone please tell me why I cannot activate the sound module?
