I am having difficulty fitting the frontal armour plate with driver's slot and mg, should the point it sits on be flat as I am unable to get the cap head screws to line up with the brackets behind as they are too high πŸ€”

Is there something I am not doing?

It looks about the same as mine. My driver armour (CE2160) sits on the top of the curve with quite a gap showing.

I left all of my screws quite loose until fitting, but which bracket specifically are you referring to?
The bracket joining the hull sides (CE5151) to the (CE2157) upper front plate?

Here is my side armour (CE5159M) joining the Drivers slot & MG armour plate (CE2160), as you can see the brackets are not directly over the middle of the holes, but the armour plates all lines up reasonably well. I had to lift the sides up from underneath as I was trying to get the tops of the armour aligning.

Hi Neil
Thanks for the reply, and yes I refer to the side and front plate bracket that you show in the bottom photo.
I will try lifting the sides and hopefully that will make it easier to get the cap screw through πŸ‘Œ

Thanks Neil for your help I have managed to get the front plate fitted and as you did I needed to lift the sides up to ensure the top edges are level as you can see

I wanted to build something that was different to all the other Tigers I have seen, so I am doing an initial version without mudguards, turret bin and escape hatch, and hopefully it will look something like these, not sure which way I'm going but can't wait to get it sorted πŸ‘Œ
