Today, I successfully programmed the TX (Futaba FX-32) and the drives work ... first time in my life to program mixers on the Futaba

I will now go on with the installation of the electronics and of course the final assembly of the wheels and tracks!

Over the last couple of days, I have been trying to sort out the layout for the sound and RC components. For my loudspeaker (JVC, 230W), I have built a box made out of MDF 10mm, rather flat but 50cm wide. I will use the USM-RC3 by Beier Electronics for the sound and a 500W amplifier (not many at 24 volts available).

The amplifier as well as the RC components will rest on a tray made of 3mm fibre sheet. The black parts are aluminium profiles I had in my hobbyroom since long time. They will be fixed using welcro as well as the sound box.

ich bin ein Wiedereinsteiger aus dem Bereich des Flugmodellbaus und habe mir jetzt einen ARMORTEK Leopard 2A4 bestellt.
Im Panzermodellbau hab ich keinerlei Erfahrung und hoffe dass ich hier Feedback auf meine Fragen bekomme.
1, wann lackiere ich welche Teile und muss ich vorher alles grundieren oder gleich lackieren
2,wo finde ich Literatur über die jeweiligen Farbgebung des Leoparden.
3, welche Bauteile müssen gefettet werden
4, welche Teile des Panzers werden gespachtelt
5, worauf muss ich beim Zusammenbau besonders achten.

Good choice and much better value for your money than airplanes ... (I had a number of jets, I know a little ...)

1. Paint every piece before assembly using primer and coat, then paint again after the assembly
2. Google ... Nato colors are 6031 bronze green, 9021 tar black and 8027 leather brown
3. I recommend all metal parts except those you don't like sand corns (e.g. rust-free steel rods for the tracks)
4. all CSK fasteners that you don't see on original photos and basically all other parts (joints)
5. stick to the building manuals and study this forum and ask questions

Do you still need the Armortek's Motion & Audio Modules?

Dear Chang,

Thank you for your question. I will use the motion module as is but skip the audio module for another kit (?) ... the electronic device on the left of the receiver is the sound module, the others (blue type) are a magnetic switch and a lipo battery for the RC components. I will not use the BEC's from the ESC and cut the red wires. I will probably upgrade to 8S Lipo later instead of the 24V power supply now for testing.
The blue components are from PowerBox Systems, the best products that mostly flying modelers use like jet and turbine helicopter pilots around the world. I also use it for my race boats.
By the way, I will also get a 1-channel gyro for the gun stabilization from them, probably the best gyros on the market.

Sorry for my ignorant writing ... it's very simple, just written complicated

From left: Sound-/light module USM-RC3 from Beier Electronics, will replace AT Audio Module, then receiver, then PowerBox Gemini II, regulated (5.9V) power switch with magnetic impulse for on/off, possibility of connecting two accus (2S Lipo) with MPX, far right is the 2S lipo 2500 mAh (I use only one)

is this better by any chance ??

Mounting the suspension, this went almost a bit too easy for me ... maybe I made several mistakes but I cannot see them until the tracks are on ... or you guys tell me

After making sure the floor is levelled on the bench, I measured the degrees using the bevel box and then just put the supports underneath and fixed it like this ... that's all ???
