Bovingtom are having their twice-yearly model show - more details can be seen at https://tankmuseum.org/events/spring-model-show
As a purely Armortek Group, we gave up displaying our models at this event some years ago - the running areas just got smaller and smaller, as Bovington wants to sell the space to people who'll pay for it. A shame, as we were very popular with the public (we even did historical talks for a time).
Instead, we now have a get-together for those of you who are there - a chance to catch up during the long winter break, discussing our builds and even swapping parts. After a chat with Bovington about the best time to do this, I've settled on 11.30am on Saturday, 10 February, in the square area at the end of the mezzanine leading off from the restaurant area in the Tank History Hall (probably a more useful reference is above the WW1 area where the Mark II and the Whippet are ). After that the area tends to fill up with the General Public demanding their rations ..........
And I'm sure Dave Dibb would welcome a friendly visit at the Armorpax stall, which is usually near the Vickers Mark II in the same hall .
For those of you attending on the Sunday, there's no reason why you shouldn't get togeher in the same place at the same time.
All the best,
Chris
