I really shouldn't should I, but......

Hi all.
Just a change of subject and a series of fortunate events. OK, don't hold your breath its not really that earth shattering, honestly
I like to collect bits & pieces of militaria relevant to the projects I am building, Chieftain being one such case.
Over the Christmas break I received an email offering 10% off and free P & P, a good start as I had been umming & arring, should I shouldn't I. Anyway I did.
I bought a 120mm Practice round(used,of course). Once painted up will be a nice prop,IMHO!
Next up how's about something to keep it in?
That very useful book Haynes manual for Chieftain(page 62) identifies "box ammunition for the use of" C.238 MK.2(SV67A). After a troll round Ebay, an 'Independent Trader' based in Plymouth had one, you couldn't make this up honest, plus extras.
The boxes arrived with all markings obscured with paint. This is normal practice for surplus ammo boxes. However me being me and a gentle application of Acetone, low and behold:-
The smaller H82 (0ct58) ammo box, once the paint was uncovered revealed:-
I would be grateful if someone could shed some light on this one, I have never come across this white "explosive class" marking before. The actual box is in very good condition and you can still see where the belt was lying in the bottom of the box.
As always I appreciate your input/observations.
Cheers all and have a good weekend.
Charles
PS Now a not such a great event. 1990, I bought a surplus Chieftain gun sight(£15) at Bovington. Sold it for £36 2013
