Wanted - M3 x 8mm Hex Headed Bolts - 4mm head

Hi guys

Any one in the UK have or know where I can get hold of some M3 x 8mm Hex headed bolts with a non standard 4mm head?

I think normally the head is 5.5mm.

They are available from Germany but with a crazy shipping cost.

Hi Malcolm,

may be a friend may alter those bolts from normally 5,5 mm to 4 mm on a milling machine, when only 20 pieces are needed.

I get my hex hex nuts and screws from MVD. They are terrific. I have also purchased quite a bit from Knupfer as well.
Both companies have excellent pruducts.

A more expensive and time consuming alternative was to use my milling machine with the indexing head to mill other suitably
beefy screws to have the standard 5,5mm hex head; useful when I needed a few screws and didn't want to wait for an order to come all the way over from Europe...I made a very simple fixture to screw the target screw into and have at it. Once modified you really can't tell the difference between
these and 'store bought'.
