By way of Introduction

Post by Dave Goodwin »

New guy here, patiently (hah!) awaiting delivery of a Tiger I Early variant from the factory. Looking forward to soaking up all the information I can get, and all the research I can manage to do, before the beast arrives.

I'm in the USA, in Vermont, and this is my first ArmorTek kit. I've also built a 1/16 Tamiya Panther and 1/14 Tamiya Cascadia semi-truck along with any number of RC cars and buggies.

Thanks for having me!
Dave

I invested in deburring tools micro wrench set sockets sanding paper and a motorcycle jack they will all come in handy.....then there is the colorscheme and walk around books and information too ....if you've already built a rank apologies I wasn't sure these things made assembly easier or assembly thus far I should say.

Hi Dave,

My first Armortek was the Pershing. Just about finished it, still some stowage and markings to apply. I was going to weather it but I think I will let it weather naturally. I'm in New Hampshire, Upper Valley region. Maybe we can run our tanks in some mud when your tank is complete? Welcome to the hobby!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm really looking forward to this project and following along with other build threads as well. Nick, I'd be happy to get something going once mine is up and running. Any other New Englanders about?

Andrew, I'll be keeping an eye out for your posts, since it looks like we'll be embarking on this adventure at about the same time. I'm sure we'll see some other Tiger build threads also as they all get shipped and received.
