As I have started my new(ish) Chieftain rebuild, can anyone suggest a supplier of replacement bin hinges.
Regards
Steve

Re: Bin hinges
Good evening Steve
I used PLUS 4 model supplies, the hinges are about 9mm across. I'll have a ratch in the garage tomorrow and post a photo of same.
Cheers

Re: Bin hinges
Thanks Charles
I have just made a start on the Chieftain turret rebuild, the hull will have to wait until I free up some space ( I still have a early Panther G commission build that is awaiting the option packs).
I will post some photos when I have made some progress.
Regards
Steve

Re: Bin hinges
Hi Steve.
I got the hinges from here www.modelshop.co.uk
It is "4D model shop". Plus 4 , apologies.
I did check the link before posting it, but couldn't find the hinges. I have emailed them to see what the crack is.
So fingers crossed.

Re: Bin hinges
Hi Steve, great to see another Chieftain build getting back into the swing.
If you don't get the hinges from 4D, try Hobby's on line, hobbys.co.uk should get you there. (Not to be confused with hobbies.)
There are different qualities out there and different spaced mounting holes too.
Pt no 18295, I think they come as a two in a pack , 9mm x 300mm, £7.50 plus vat and P+P I guess.

Re: Bin hinges
Hi John.
Thanks for the input , I will give them a try.
Working on the turret at the moment as I still have a Panther to finish when the option packs become available.

Re: Bin hinges
For me the hinges are all for show, holding them down with glue and tiny M1.2 screws and nuts purchased off ebay normally used for spectacle repairs.
If you work out away of stopping them screwing the hinge paint work after opening and closing a couple of times, I'm all ears.
