Adrian,
This is a great technique when making sheet metal parts without the benefits of CAD modelling programs. It can save a lot of scrap and remanufacturing time.
What are you making? Its looks like a 222 turret!

This was printed from a CAD drawing I'm sending off for cutting, to get a feel for the angles and shapes involved.

Close, it's a 223 conversion
