Hi, mine arrived today, (many thanks Gill) number 005, have taken some pictures as I emptied the boxes, and also of the extras that people wanted to see.

Jeff,

Thats an impressive collection of bits, it is well [acked and everything labelled. As Mark said at the open day, the kitting is a significant part of the whole operation. Are you going to finish the 88 first or buid the models in parallel?

I'm decorating the dinning room ready for Christmas at present!! If I had my way I'd cancel crimbo in favour of a rest.

Hi Allan, I will finish the 88 first, I have still got a 222 to start, but after reading the build manual on the PZIII, that will be next, I am a bit like you on the build front, just a little bit each day and the model grows, mind you if I were not out of the house for 11 1/2 hours each day, it would grow faster; I have resisted opening all the packets and bits yet, but will do that tomorrow, and make a list of all the bits I am going to change or make, and for those of us that like modeling its Christmas every day

Hi Dale, a couple more pictures for you, I found the hinges for the Armorpak loading doors, these are alloy and not white metal, so that's good, also pictures of the sprocket & wheels, cupola and pannier

Thanks for posting those photos.

The parts look good and some of them are spot on the real thing or can easily become that with a little x-tra work.
The wheels look very nice but the sprockets have one shortcoming almost impossible to correct.
It has only 5 holes as the real thing had 6...sad

Otherwise from what we have seen a nice kit I would love to have but too many un build ones here so I must resist here.

Well I am at a loss to explain how that happened. There must have been hundreds who have seen the model and thousands who have seen the illustrations, but none of us seem to have noticed until now. It is obviously too late to correct now for this batch. We propose to make new "corrected " sprockets with the batch for delivery in late summer, and we will make sufficient to replace sprockets for all those who would like them.

Apologies for the mistake.

Sorry for coming with that bad news and I am sorry not having notice it before when the first photos of the Panzer III was posted at in the gallery

What a fine gesture making new sprockets, hats of for that!

While you are into it, would it be possible to make them with 21 horns like the real thing instead of 20?
Or maybe the links are made to fit 20 horns?
The Panther/Jagdpanther and Tiger I had the correct numbers of horns.

Hi Kent

Please don't apologise for pointing out the mistake, I am glad it was spotted and we can do something about it. We inherited the P3/P4 track casting from very early on and most people like this part. To get this casting to run with a 21 tooth sprocket would mean that the sprocket diameter would have to increase a little. I will check dimensions and mudguard clearances and see if it is possible. If we can, we will.
