Turret traverse motor mount

I installed the traverse motor and the top of the gear touches the ring mount. It might actually clear it but it would be by a tiny amount, I tried to slip a piece of paper through and it wouldn't go. So I was going to put washers on the counter sink screws but there's not a lot of thread left for the nut to grab. Then I thought washers between the motor and the motor mount but they would need to be shaved or filed down to fit. Anybody else have this issue. Maybe bend the bracket back a little but the gears will not mesh perpendicular (if that's an issue). Thanks!

I had no issue.
Bending it a little (or use a spacer / little piece of metal) would do the trick.
Besides, are you planning to let the turret run constantly around?
The wear, even with normal use would be minimal over the years.
My 2004 Tiger one has no noticeable wear on it's ring.

Hi Nick….. I have just fitted my turret motor.. no problems … could I suggest you loosen off the gear grub screw and ensure the gear is pushed fully home onto its shaft before tightening the grub screw… I lightly hammered my gear to ensure is was fully home..
