The three mounting points on the turret?

In the kit are three circular parts that attach to the top of the turret (not the lifting rings). Ive searched around as to what these are for.

I came across some information that they are a place to mout "a 2 ton jib or pole crane". Also that this started in 1944 or there abouts.

Is that truly their use? Are there any pictures of this being realized? If so what was the purpose? And finally if it was a thing, where did it get stowed when not in use?

Thanks in advance.

Late-model Tiger Is and all Tiger IIs were fitted with a trio of mounting brackets on the turret roof for the assembly of a field crane for maintenance

Great picture, thank you. That helps a lot. I still wonder if it travelled with the tank (doesnt seem likely) or on a support vehicle.

I think I would like to model the crane.

Late model Panther G and even Hetzer has the crane mount points as well. It would be carried in repair section of unit, not on tank. Used for engine replacement primarily.
