Happy Birthday !

Post by Chris Hall »

The actual vehicle that Armortek’s latest is, let’s say, loosely representative of  was first launched at the Amsterdam Motor Show on 30 April 1948. So it’s 75 years old today.

Two vehicles were displayed, numbered L03 and L05. The Series One bit didn’t come into use until around 1958, when the Series Two came out so they had to rename the earlier version.

Incidentally, the L in the numbers means that they were left hand drive. So those of you that have ordered the left hand drive version of this model have actually got the more historically representative one !

Best wishes,

Chris
