There are Imgur pictures showing in section 6 but nothing after that.

Looking at the page html source code, there doesn't appear to be any picture links in the posts after that.

Hello Adrian.

Yes, That is because I have not posted in those sections yet. I just did all the section place holders at once so they would stay together at the start of this thread and I would add as I worked on each section. Im ready to start filling in some now that I think we have a handle on the photo issue.

Mark, I like the way you've broken down your build per the assembly sections of the manual, this will make a great reference source to those of us who hope Armortek will re-issues the King Tiger once again.

Enjoying your build, keep up the great work.

In between building lots of repetitive stuff...I got to looking at the gunner periscope. Then looked at other builds. A lot seem to be either left as is or the optics area is painted silver to differentiate it from the surrounding color.

I wanted to play with a different look. I got some 1.6mm persplex mirror and some "coke bottle" green plexi:

I cut the pieces oversized a bit, then laminated them. Finally finished shaping:

I like the effect. I plan on making new periscopes for the cupola and radiomans periscope and giving them this treatment. The drivers periscope is in for something special...

Well, couldnt put it off any longer. This, as I have said, is my first try at building a model like this. At times as I look at the posts by the master modellers on this site, I get a little lot discouraged. The welds really had me apprehensive. I came up with a way for a total novice. Nowhere near what the pros are doing, but I think once painted and viewed from standing near it that they will do. They are editable too.

This one will have to come out to fill and finsh the hardware holes, but I was having so much fun...

Your weld lines look great! Enjoy the process, the rest will follow as a result. One thing they used to tell me when I was studying Architecture was "be true to your work and your work will be true to you." Which really is a simple and concise way of how to approach so many of the little things in life.
