Was such a good event and with SAG made it even more enjoyable. Great banter and weather too. Can’t wait for next year.
Cheers Kian.

Pictures to follow but to sum up what turned out to be an epic weekend after starting at a low ebb. I came to Tankfest to get help with my ailing Hetzer and, as I expected, the bush on the right sprocket let go on the first turn on the grass as I got into the enclosure. I broke out the torque wrench and did it back up to get it parked. Then the most unexpected, I got it moving to bring it over to Kian to demonstrate the problem and replace the bush but nothing happened. I don't know what I did different from the other ten or so times I did up the bush at home but this time it bound and it stayed that way all weekend, result!
So for the rest of the weekend it ran and ran, with just a thrown track on Saturday at the close of play to deal with. Sure half the bolts vibrated loose and I have a slipping idler to deal with but compared with what I was expecting that's nothing. So a big thanks to Kian for being ready to assist and having Chris Fry's sprocket tool at hand, maybe just the presence of so many of it's bretheren made the Hetzer want to work 8)
Great to meet everyone again and be particiapating rather than just taking pictures, the LiPO4 battery was a revelation with it only dropping to 50% at the end of three days of regular running, something I could only dream about with the Mark IV.
The Hetzer did indeed Hetz :)

I think your Hetzer ran the most out of all the models. It was relentless. Loved it.

I regret nothing. The destroyed sprockets are an unwelcome side effect but the lighter model and the amazing performance of the LiPo4 battery let me run the tank the way I have always wanted to. 8)
