1/4 scale its just to big!

Post by Phil Woollard »

As it's quiet I thought I would share a few photos of a HL230 that I've been printing , stick with an Armortek 1/6 it's more manageable. Thanks go to Vince and Ivano for their help with this lump.
Oh and as it's valentines day do spare a thought for those of us that will be on are own tonight........and maybe spare an even bigger thought for all those poor devils that won't be on their own!

Huge!
Working air filters are intriguing, what are you up to? Gonna sit that “disguise” on top of a working engine of some description..?

Hi Phil,

suppose you know that there are some 1/4 scale models in the world which your engine could fit. Unfortunately the manufacturers live in Wolgograd and no more model comes out of Russia....
kind regards
Gerhard

Our Maybach is coming along. For Ivano, I have gotten this far regarding the inertia starter, I'm just adapting/editing non related stl files in Cura to achieve parts that look very much like they should, well I think they do. I have attached a simple crank to the end of the inertia shaft for now, obviously the correct two man crank would be used with that device that the crank connects to, I shall look for references of that device on the internet, if anyone can help with any information on the inertia device that would be very much appreciated.

A little more detail to the Maybach, it was not my intention to go into this much detail but I'm enjoying it immensely. The front and back of the block/head pieces should arrive very soon.
I didn't like the aluminium head colour so I've gone for the Weald Foundation Jagdpanther German grey/blue shade.
