Hi, being new to all things R/C I find myself in a dark place concerning my Stug. Let me start. My Stug has been in store age since the summer. I've now moved house and have it in a custom made crate on casters. I had my transmitter in the crate (Flysky) and discovered that one of the switches was broken. had this repaired. I've switched on my model and everything seems ok, batteries are at 60%. I'm not getting any response from the tank from my transmitter. Is there a check list that I need to do? Unfortunately the crate that I built only allows me to remove the tank by driving it out and I have very few options in removing it any other way. I tried to re-bind but the transmitter has not recognised any receiver. Am I doing something wrong. TIA

You need to charge those batteries 60% is to low.

If the transmitter has been apart then there is a risk something has been disturbed, such as the antenna lead.

I dont kn7w Flysky but us there some way to tell when the receiver and transmitter are talking?

Does your FlySky system have telemetry? The two-way communication provides one additional service in that if transmitter and receiver aren't talking
the transmitter usually complains.

Lastly to rule out basic RC system errors. disconnect the receiver from the model get a cheap servo and appropriate battery; plug those into your receiver. Servo into any channel 1-4 for simplicity. turn system on (plug in receiver battery) and note reaction of servo as you operate the sticks.

While you are testing this out charge up those model main power batteries. 60% isn't enough.

Thanks folks. I'm going to charge the batteries and check that I've attached the receiver correctly. I was never impressed with the Flysky, so a new and better transmitter may be in order. Thanks again.

Don't give up on the FlySky system yet. Breaking a switch shouldn't be the end of a system unless it suffered a really hard impact. I suspect power or lack of it is the issue at hand - assuming the new switch was installed correctly. I've broken switches before and the transmitters always worked fine after replacing them.

I've used FlySky equipment and I haven't had an issue with it. While I used to be a Futaba fanboy for decades (ever since I began in this hobby in the 70s) in recent years I've gone over to FrSky. Their ETHOS and before it OpenTx OS is wonderful so far. I'm a real fan of using my PC to manage model profiles
making mixes (needed for single stick tank operation) of nearly any complexity a simple exercise. If/when ETHOS Suite adds the capability to manage model profiles I don't believe anything will touch it...

Once radio manufacturers settled on which servo connectors to make as standard that set the stage for a new golden age of RC; I'd
stayed with Futaba so long in part due to the great lineup of servos and other devices they had.

Once I decide which of my Armortek kits I want to build out next I plan to use a FrSky X20S or X20HD as my system assuming I don't run into any issues.
