Hi all, What has everyone used for their 251 Dashboard instruments?
Ive just got a set of 1/6 Peddinhaus decals for my 251.
They look really good but seem a bit overscale to me - the biggest dial is the tacho and that is 35mm diameter.
I dont think they will all fit in the available space.
Would be interested to hear what you guys have done.
Cheers
Tim

Hi Tim
I have not addressed the dashboard yet but i have been looking at options.
I do think I may already have the instruments somewhere in the workshop.
If I do have/ come across them I will let you know.
Best regards
Steve

Ive spent a lot of time looking at 251 dashboards to try and identify all the components and apart from all the OT810 pictures nearly every layout seems different with wildly different sizes of gauges.
I must assume that most of these will be due to modern restorations

Hi all, This is what i went with in the end.
I thought the Peddinghaus decals were too big so i scanned, resized and printed on my own laser decal paper.
Nearly everything here has been 3d printed to improve the detail.

Hi Tim
The dashboard looks fantastic mate.
I'm hoping to get back into mine again very soon as Chris Hall said a few months ago real life gets in the way never a truer word was said ( hate growing up ) lol
Best Regards
Steve

I added a load of 3d printed detail to the interior which really brings it to life.
Unfortunately, like most WW2 vehicles, you have to work from photo's and guesswork as most of this detail is now missing or heavily modified when viewing preserved examples.
Having said that any detail is better than no detail but most of this is hidden once you add crew figures.
