Panther G with a difference

Just to add a bit of variety to the Panther G topics, here’s one I have been building as a commission.
It’s a old Universal hull version released a number of years ago.
The Panther came with both the G turret and a F turret plus’s a load of aftermarket parts .
The plan is to have the turrets interchangeable and as such I have decided to model the hull on the F version with revised front plate interlocks and a scid plate replacing the small idler wheel on the final drive. I have kept the G style drivers and radio operators hatches as there is no information on the replacement F style sliding hatches available (using up old stock G hatches is my excuse).
Regards
Steve

That's a very interesting build you have there Steve, I like the way you have done the F type hull interlocks.

Any ideas on a colour scheme.

Thanks Alex, just waiting for the upgraded wheels to finish it off.
Mark, going to do a 3 colour hard edged scheme unless plans change.

Hi Steve,
Great detail and quality as always.
I particularily love the torch cut detail on turret. It seems that interlocked part of front glacis plate and side pannier different from recent one?
Once such detail on cutting surface is applied, it would be sad to cover those parts if do zimmerit coating .

Cheers,
Jae-seung

Thats great Steve - I had forgotten about the F type turret. Wonder how many were made? I've only seen 2.
Always enjoy your Panther builds.

Hi Bob
I think there were 5 made but I may be wrong.

No Zim on this one as it’s a very late war vehicle.

That is looking very sharp Steve.
That camo looks superb.
I thought all the 'F' hulls had crew heaters - that rear deck looks strange without one.

This camo pattern looks good with interesting colour scheme! is it one of the existing camo pattern and colour that Panther division has applied during WW2? I love this! :D
Cheers

Tim
Late war, anything goes 🙄

Jae-Seung
There is a F turret as well as a G turret for this kit so I have gone for a bit of a “what-if” scheme.

Steve
