Blank Firers

Please note that as far as we understand the law, front vented blank firers are illegal in the UK. i.e if a blank causes gases or flames to come out the barrel you must, at a minimum, have the appropriate firearms licence.

As a company we do not support the installation nor use of blank firers in our models.

Laws vary by jurisdiction, so ensure you seek the appropriate legal advice.

If you have specific evidence of the legality or illegality of the systems in the different jurisdictions then feel free to post below to keep others informed.

Blank firer = shot gun sound
Good sound system = sound of real tank firing

No contest, no illegality.

100 % agreement! The original tank firing sound, brought by a sound system with 250 watts or more (I know systems up to 2.000 watts in quarter scale models) is far better than any blank firer sounds. Single exception: the electric powered blank firer machine gun simulator. But I think this equipment is no more available.

License's are available for blank firing devices in Australia for theatrical, sports events and re-enactment. Keeping in mind that Armortek once sold a blank firing device that is currently in use by the people who purchased them.
