Hi Guys
So guys electronics are deffinatly not my strong point.....fill me with dread actually ....

So I am going the 2 motor route on my carrier like Steve and Denis, what I want to know is if using 2 of the Armortek
speed controllers how do I connect them to the Armortek sound unit so both work the sound if say one track is locked when making a turn for example ?
The Armortek set up has a single imput plug for the sound card and I don't want to let out the magic blue smoke of doom...

Thanks in advance

Derek

I have gone the route of using a Dimension Engineering Sabertooth 2 x 12 and 12v battery. I have yet to connect sounds as I will have the challenge of getting it work with a rotary encoder! Steve

Hi Derek,

The Benedini board does have 2 inputs, one for each track. The problem maybe though that the 2nd input may not be programmed for gas input.

Can you post a photo of the sound board as supplied and I will be able to tell you which socket to use but until you try it you won't know whether the 2nd channel has been set up for gas input. If it is covered in heatshrink then you will have to remove some of it to see the plug sockets.

Just found a photo of the layout. There are 4 leads to the sound board. In between the lead that goes to the speed controller and the one that goes to the 3 pos switch there should be a spare one marked PROP 2. If you connect this one to your second channel on the receiver that you are going to use for direction and try it. No need to connect it to a speed controller at this stage. If you get sound from both channels then it means the sound board is set up for 2 channels. If this works ok then you will have to use a Y lead to connect this channel to the 2nd speed controller. I can speak to you if you like if you email me your phone number.

You can email if you like to djones4990@gmail.com

Dennis.

I too will be interested to see what you find as a solution. I have yet to take a scalpel to pare back some of the heat shrink.
