Hi fellow carrier builders
I am not understanding to point of the tubes ERO229 that go inside the wheel bearings and over the axels ERO203
on the bogies as it seems to defeat the object of the bearings.
In my kit the tubes are spinning on the axels and there for the bearings are not doing there job as the wheels are rotating
on the tubes not the bearings.
Has anyone else had this problem ?
Or am I missing something obvious.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Derek

Re: Bogie assembly bearings and tube ERO229
Hi Derek,
If I remember correctly the tube ER0229 is clamped between the two Axle Spaces ER0205 when the M5 Castle nuts are tightened up, enabling a small amount of side movement in the wheel ER0202 for alinement of the wheels.
Regards
David

Re: Bogie assembly bearings and tube ERO229
Hi Derek,
I have just remembered that I used shims in the bogie assembly to prevent the arms that support the wheels being sprung in when tightening the castle nuts.
I hope that helps.
