Foa (Field of Armor) WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by Peter Quambusch »

Hey Guys,

Don´t place any order with a. m. company. Just filed complaint for fraud!!
Opened an account and placed an order with them on 10/20. Payment via Mastercard in advance. Received order confirmation from FoA in my email account same day.
Since then, when accessing my account with them, order status was on "order awaiting fulfillment"....
Sent an inquiry about delivery date on 10/31. No response...
Tried to access my account with them on 11/4, account does not exist any more....
Wrote to Mastercard explaining the situation. Hoping for a refund....

Just found out, than another AT customer from Germany mad the same mistake a few days ago....

Just wanted you to be informed!!

Cheers

Peter

Peter,
Have you tried reaching Loic on FB? He recently posted in FOA group there a couple days ago - that they are still upgrading/Updating their website (seems to be common theme for last 4 years or so). Perhaps FB message him as well? Sorry you having trouble with them. I know a lot of customer have had trouble reaching him/FOA.
Best regards,
Bob

I have bought several times from FOA,
it has always had a very long response time,
but it has always answered me and sent what I bought,
now it is a long time that I have not bought anything,
due to the skyrocketing shipping and import costs.
Have you tried to contact him on his facebook page?
Loic also wrote on this forum, check if there is an email contact
regards
Marco

I last heard from Loic Anthian in 2016 about an outstanding order worth $55. To be fair, it was a piece of work I'd helped Mike Stannard (RIP) with and Loic agreed to honour the sale when FOA stepped in.

I've heard nothing since.

I had this from Loic on the 13th October:

You might have heard that Field of Armor has moved to a NEW location in July 2021 along its sister company https://www.Kitlinx.com
Moving such operation was difficult but the major issue for FOA was that the Fire Department of the new city (South Salt Lake City) has strict regulations. FOA is working on permits to allow its resin and metal casting operations to operate in the new building. Because of the delays and difficulties encountered, we have decided to create some temporary fixes

1. The metal and resin casting operations will be operating again starting next week
2. All orders will be finalized in the order they were received

FOA apologizes for the delays, but some NEW WAYS of running the business are implemented

• A new website is being finalized
• FOA and Kitlinx order processing will be combined, to improve on both customer support and processing time
• FOA will ONLY show IN STOCK for items fully finished on the shelves. That way, order processing time will be immediate. Currently, many items require assembly of parts

Thank you for your business

Remember the days when we waited for one of our favorite quarterly or biannual magazines to arrive. We turned to the classified pages somewhere in the back and found a seller of something we needed, then wrote out a letter and blindly sent a check hoping to receive our items. A month later we would see the check had been cashed, as more time went by the package would arrive almost as a surprise, oh the good old days.
I think most of my hobbies often required me to order through the post.
The internet sure has changed things for the better!

Seems to be an ever expanding one too. Lost £85 to this company who seem to always have a long list of excuses they churn out in turn. The excuses FOA used when I complained was laughable. They are more incompetent rather than anything else, so hit and miss whether you get ordered items and if you get them whether they are of acceptable quality.

Armortek very generously allow third party sellers on their forum and they provide brilliant service, but newcomers to this forum should be made aware of potential problems with this one supplier.
