But here's my Qu: what ch. work the turret and the gun elev.?
right now I have left stick left track, right stick, right track.
left stick side to side engine sounds.
Ch,6 switch machine gun sounds.
No control over turret or gun elev.
But the turret did turn until it hit a small part on the engine deck door.
I have the full armortek package.
Can anyone help me with this? thank you from Dan

Hello Dan
IF you have a 6 channel radio this is the typical way to set this up.
left stick up/down left track
left stick L/R turret turn
Right stick up/down Right track
Right stick L/R Sound toggle
Left Switch Fireing
Right switch Gun elevation.
Now all this depends on what radio set you have.Hope this helps.

Hi Lee
I have Futaba 6EX 2.4 GHz radio.I had a 6ch airtronices and I had every thing working with that radio and recv. But I did not test for turret control.
So far I have no control over the turret.
>as I said before this is what I have.
>left stick f/b left track
>right stick f/b right track
>left stick s/s sound {engine only}
>right stick s/s does nothing
ch 5 not in use
>ch 6 power for sound unit and right swich is machine gun sound.
The turret motor spins but does not stop.
If I was to remove a plug from rec the left track will start to move.
I don't know what to do. Dan

Hello Dan
Well if you have the Servos that come with the transmitter. Unplug very thing on the reciever and fitt the servos. All the channels should move the servos try this and let me know from there. Have you programmed the Sound system up Benedini one? Put the tank up on blocks so the tracks will spin. Make sure that all batteries are charged up.What Tank have you got?

Hi Lee
I have the Panther, and It's up on blocks. That's the best way not to cause
damage to something like my house or my car.I could show pictures of what happen on my first 3 runs out doors.
That sound system is funny,it took me 2 weeks to figure it out last time. With a different radio.I fellowed what you wrote to someone else, and for me it was ch 1&3 that controled the tracks.
So now I have to start over again.Tomorrow I will try again.
Thanks Lee. Dan

Hi Lee
I tested the radio trans & rec.
>left stick up/down is ch.3
>left stick right/left is ch.4
>right stick up/down is ch.2
>right stick right/left is ch. 1
>5 is 5,& 6 is 6.
So tomorrow I will set up rec as you said the first time and see what happens. Thanks Dan

Hi Lee
All the systems are working,But I could not change the gun's elev.so I
removed the motor to see if it's working. And it is,But it does not stop.
Ch.6 does not have a middle, where the motor is not turning.Yesterday I smelled something hot or smoke like smells. It was the motor trying to
work, and getting hot.I do have to move the elev. screw by have.
Is this normal? Dan

Hello Dan
Well The elevation sounds like you have the limit switches wired up incorrectly. They should be the two outer ones and the red must be on the pin on its own ie Common. The gun must stop when the limit switches are made. Also try swaping the green and purple arround.Lets see if that works?

HI Dan,
When you programmed the sound unit, were you able to get the MG sound to work with your 6EX Radio?
Lee, I know you have tried to help me with this before. Will the lft/rt stick controlling the sound work the MG sound too? I'm able to toggle a 3-position switch(upper left) on a futaba 7C Radio and can toggle engine start/stop, idle/rev fine. But no go on MG. You had mentioned adding a switch to the radio and after we talked, I tried one of the sticks to control it as a test but no go. Thanks Lee
As far as the gun elevation, mine is controlled by left/rt movement of left stick, and elevation stops when the stick is centered. When you plug direct power to test it, the motor will just go, as it's not running through the electronic switch and Lee is correct, the limit switches should stop it when it reaches full elevation or depression.
Speaking from personal experience, double check all connections. Smelling smoke of hot electronics is bad. Very bad.
Good luck Dan
I saw your half-track and it looks great! any pictures of your Panther?

Hi Tim
I had engine and MG sounds with a different radio.{airtronices} But not with the Fubata 6EX.Or I shound say not a control sound.when I elev.the gun I get MG sound in one direction.I change the rec set up. Elev. to ch1 and had full control over movement. But not in ch6,I can't stop it 1/2 way.And the upper limit switch doesn't work,it stops only after it bends the metal bar and hits very top.But the bottom switch works.I have the purple wire at the top switch.I believe Armortek showed a picture of how to wirer the switches.I thought about putting in a 3 pole switch in place of the 2 pole on the radio. Will it work? I also have a rotatory switch that came out of an old radio I would like to try. Dan

Hello Dan
Did you do anything special to get the MG to work? Did you push the program button on the sound unit etc or did it just work right off the bat?
Maybe after I finish the paint and weathering I'll give it another go.
Lee would be the one to answer your switch question as he is far more qualified then me.
Hope you get your elevation working. I'm willing to give up elevation for MG sound.

Before I press the program button,I had a very loud horn that people could hear a city block away. After pressing the program button, the unit play all
the sounds it had. It's made for many types of veh. Even had two people talking on a radio.I ended up with 2 sounds the engine and the MG.
With my new radio the MG sounds like nose that should not be there.
When I bring the gun down the MG sounds will play. And elev. is not so
important to me.I would have no problem leaving the gun in one place.

Hello Dan and Tim
The benedini sound system is one of those systems that must be set up.
To set up switch on transmitter. power up the reciever?Tank. You should hear 3 clicks you must then press the program button. It will then go through all twelve sounds. when that has finished you will hear loads of clicking. Switch off power. It is now programed!!
To set sound 1 Engine Move the stick it is on once to the left and once to the right to energize it.If you want sound 4 normally MG move the stick four times to the left and center and then to the right to energize it and so onthe sounds are normally
1 Engine
2 engine rev
3 Main gun fireing
4 MG
5 Pistol
6 MP40
7 K97
8 ?
9 Voice 1
10 voice 2
11 voice 3
12 Horn
The sound module is different to each tank. On My Panther i have a encoder fitted but you need a proportional channel to use it.
