Hello,
Thought I would post some progress pics of the easy 8.
I just completed the turret assembly. When it stops raining next week I will disassemble and paint it. Applied most the simulated welds and plugged and painted misc. flat head screws. Once it is reassembled I will paint all the stencile markings and start the weathering process. I expect the weathering to take a couole of weeks.
All the electronics are installed and all work great. Love the new machine gun anamation and the head and tail lights
The new main gun elevation system is a vast improvement over previous models. The new recoil system installs easily and is alot less finicky. However it does not look as convincing as the old system

My Shereman is mostly done. Only things left to apply are the two antennas and the 50 cal machine gun on the turret. Rolled the lift outside between rain storms and took a few pics. I was supprised when Col. Patton showed up for the unvailing.

Looks great.

Tracks in the manual are back-to-front in the assembly drawing. They should be M's when viewed from the front.

Glenn,
Apparently every picture in the Armortek assembly manual of the track orientation is incorrect. Looking at pictures on the internet of actual tanks and assuming they are correct, I will reverse the tracks on my model.

Hi Tom, not a bad looking sherman, just letting you know your M2 is mounted on the cradle in reverse. When the M2 is fitted to the M23 it looks like this, Image
