I sense an Armortek Leopard 2 in the works, either that or a delicious red herring!

Cheers,

Smokeless is not always good. On one Medman exercise we had a GUE on a Challenger that was labouring. Happened when the GUE had been run for too long on too little load and the exhaust got coked-up. Standard cure was connect up a second tank in parallel, throw the battle-links on it and switch on all systems to put max load on the genny. Black smoke for a short while but soon cleared and GUE would run sweetly afterwards. On this one, the standard cure did not work, no belch of black smoke no matter what load we put on. I then spotted the exhaust was actually sucking air in. The engine had been timed wrongly and was running backwards. The exhaust manifold was clogged with prairie sand.
