Looking for (color)Photos of the Maybach Panzer engines

I have been asked to paint and weather 2 1:6 scale Maybach HL Panzer engines, but it is so hard to find good pictures!
Especially the colors/materials of the different parts. Exhausts, pipes, valves, lines, air filters, etc.
Best pics I found so far are from model makers... Museum photos are almost worthless because the paint engines glossy panzer grau all over.

Gerhard, the museum that has this engine has it wrongly marked as a HL230 this is not a HL23 Maybach engine.

I don't know that exactly. But they have Panthers and a Jagdpanther in the museum and should know what they write.....
Well, unfortunately, it is not a museum like that: It is a collection mostly concisting of pieces owned by private owners, shown together as a collection.
But still: Get your stuff right!

Perhaps this might be useful. You might want to lower the volume, not because of the engine sound ... also not sure how authentic
the colors are but I like them.. I'm sure you folks have seen these many, many times.
Maybach startup
And it's not of the engine but just hearing the sound brings back memories of all the days I spent down there wandering around this collection...

And lastly...

Hi Marco,
I am slightly late with my response but I shall be using the photos in Volume 2 of the Panther Project by The Research Squad (an AFV Modeller publication) as my reference for engine colours when I get around to painting Ivano's model.

Thanks again AlastairCooke! The answers were right under my nose all that time! I already own this incredible book!
Actually there are MANY pages like this!
So this will be great help if I ever have to paint a third engine... (and I will, for an Armortek 1:6 Jagdtiger!)
