Found this interesting Stug3 picture taken in Denmark around 1943/1944
Gun is stored on the rear together with part of the mantlet. Quality of the pictures is quite amazing

That's an odd photo. The barrel wasn't something a crew would routinely 'unscrew' and stow on the rear of the vehicle. I'd
be curious to know what was going on behind this photo.

I wonder if it was faulty and the way to be repaired.
Or had recently been de-trained and they'd removed the barrels to park them closer together ?
