Sound option pack problem

So I got my motion, sound and recoil option packs installed in my late Tiger 1. I have everything working except when I plug the servo wire into the #3 output connection on the sound pack, it disables the track motors and I get all kinds of strange noises coming out of the speakers. The recoil and flash led lights when I fire the cannon, but I have to unplug #3 in order to drive the tank.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jeff

Sounds like you have conflicting power sources in play. Can you send some photos of your audio module & receiver to
sale@armortek.co.uk and we will take a look.

Okay, here is what I have. The number 3 output on the sound module goes to the number one input on the recoil module.

Hello Jeff, I know this is not the answer, however the plugs into your receiver are not pushed fully home...mick

Kian got me all straightened out! The red lead wire was causing a power interference with the recoil and sound module. So he had me to cut it and everything works now.
Thanks,
Jeff

Hello Jeff, pleased your problem is solved. I recall way back when building my M3 Grant I had an issue. The ever watchful Adrian advised me to cut one of the power leads to my receiver. the Spektrum receiver was sensing more than one power supply, again removing/cutting one red power lead solved the problem, we live and learn. I like the new red boxes....nice.....Mick.

Hi Jeff,
Im just curious, can you be more specific for me? Which red wire did you cut? Was it one of the small reds going to the receiver and was it the one for the sound?
Thanks,
Matt

Hi all,
please be aware that in most receivers all 'red' pins internally are connected together (so as all 'black' pins). It doesn't matter at which pin of the receiver a power source is connected; although some connectors may be marked as 'B' for battery. Therefore if there is more than one pin connected to an additional power source (e.g. a BEC), you will get trouble!

Hi Mathew,
I cut the red wire going into the #3 port on the output side of sound module.
