Camouflage net

Post by John Wiggins »

Has anyone made or purchased a camouflage net for British 1/6th scale vehicles and artillery?
There is a great in depth article in the current issue of Tankette magazine by Mike Starmer.
Life size mesh was based on 5 inch squares, does any known of a 1/6 scale square mesh which is suitable?
The ones I’ve seen so far are of hexagonal mesh, and as Mike says “they stand out like a sore thumb “.

Thanks in advance for all/any replies.

Regards
John Wiggins

Tankette magazine is the journal of The Miniature Fighting Vehicle Association.
Current issue is 55-5

Ebay do a camo netting for 1/16 to 1/6 tanks, but it's difficult to how see one size fits all.
I saw some specific 1/6 camo net but it does not say how much there is of it size wise. And it looks modern

Put this in the ebay search 133384246209 or this from Black ops, again modern, 1/6 Scale Toy US Army Saw Gunner - Camouflage Netting

Or just use a full size scrimm net from the local Army and Navy store.

I'm toying with using full size Scrimm netting inter weaving similar different Scrimm coloured strings, boring to make, but should end up with varying coloured stringy tassels in the netting.
Oh Man, I only ride em I don't know what makes them work,
