Any meetings in the Midlands and a note about the SVR

Post by Dave Green »

Hi All

I'm a new(ish) owner living in the Midlands and would like to meet up occasionally but most events are quite a long distance. Are there any owners around this area?

With regards to possible meeting places or events to attend, I've seen some posts of owners going to forties weekends held at preservation railways. The Severn Valley Railway is near to me and it has well established forties events. Would this be a suitable event to go to? Would any members be interested?

Given that the new head has come from Bovington Tank Museum I would have thought there should be an opportunity.

What do you think?

Cheers

Dave

I'd be willing to go if there is space nearby for a campervan.

Kidderminster station of the SVR has ample parking and is right next to the mainline station with even more parking.
For the campers coming to the region there are sites about 5 - 10 minute drive away.
