Well still thinking about what primer to use for priming. Here in Fla, USA we have several companies that provide paint. I have been looking at the following. any thoughts anyone.

Rust-Oleum 249415 Automotive Spray Primer, Sandable, Grey, 12-oz. $4 to $5 per shake can

RUST-OLEUM Self Etching Primer, Grey, 12 oz. $4 to $5 per shake can

Rust-Oleum Automotive 253499 32-Ounce Paint Quart, Gray $29.00 I have the spray equipment.

I have used Rust Oleum for lots of household and hobby projects, but when I am painting my larger hobby-car I use PPG metal etching, about 22 bucks a spray can, I don't mind it because its such a good primer, sprays nice and when it drys it sticks.

I believe that for priming aluminium one needs to use some sort of etch primer so that it will not start peeling off in the future.
